Forklift Water Pump - Attached to the crankshaft of the engine; the water pump is a simple centrifugal pump that is driven by a belt. The pump then circulates fluid whenever the engine is running.
The water pump utilizes centrifugal force so as to send water to the outside while it rotates. This action causes fluid to be continuously drawn from the center of the pump. The pump inlet is placed close to the center. This design allows fluid coming back from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically positioned to be able to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it enters the engine.
The fluid initially flows through the engine block and cylinder head prior to going out of the pump. The fluid then works its way into the radiator before lastly returning to the pump.
